Product Description:
The Concure Feather Cement is a fast setting, polymer enhanced, Portland based cement compound that is used for smoothing substrate irregularites and the filling of
voids prior to the installition of floor coverings. Concure Feather Cement dries in as
little as 15 minutes, depending upon temperature, achieving a quick installation of floor covering. The Concure
Feather Cement does not
contain sand or gypsum, and will adhere to concrete, wood, ceramic, terrazzo, and thin
adhesive residues. No priming is necessary.
Basic Use:
Concure Feather Cement is designed to be used for patching, skim coating, crack & void filling, and the feathering of ridges, indentations, and other substrate irregularities. Concure Feather Cement is compatible with all types of adhesive and floor coverings including vinyl, rubber, wood, PVC backed carpeting and laminates.
Surface Preparation:
Substrates should be clean
dust-free, structurally sound and free of excessive movement, waxes, sealers, release agents, or any foreign matter that would act as a bond breaker. Adhesive residues should be thin, well bonded, and hard. It is the responsibility of the applicator to determine that the integrity of the substrate is suitable for a quality application.
Mixing:
Using a drill and paddle, or by hand, mix the powder into water until the product is smooth and lump free. In general mix two parts powder to 1 part water by volume. When mixed correctly, the Concure Feather Cement should be creamy in nature,
sticking to trowel when removed from bucket.
DO NOT OVER WATER.
Pot Life:
Pot life is approximately 10 minutes. Cement products are responsive to air, water, and substrate temperatures. Be aware that reactive times will vary.
Packaging:
The Concure Feather Cement is packaged in 10 and 25 pound resealable plastic pails as well as 10 pound bags.
Application:
Apply the Concure Feather
Cement to the substrate with finishing towel. Dry time will be approximately 15 minutes depending on job site conditions. For heavily
damaged concrete or substrate not meeting floor specifications for levelness use the Concure SL-1 Self Leveling Cement.
Technical Data:
Base Portland Cement Color GrayWhite Strength 4500 psi Pot Life approx 20min. Thickness 0-1/8 in. per pass Shelf Life 3 years
Coverage:
Ten Pounds will yield 100 to 225 square feet depending upon the porosity and the type of substrate.
Limitations:
Do not over water. Installation in direct sunlight is not recommended. Re-tempering the Concure Feather Cement one time can give satisfactory results while the material is still wet but not stiff.
Embossing Leveler:
The Concure Feather Cement may be used as an embossing leveler. The newer stain resistant surfaces must be mechanically striped for superior adhesion. Add the CONCURE M-2 additive to the cement system. The M-2 will add increased adhesion and flexibility. Replace 1/3 of the water with M-2.
